This PS2 game still looks great! Also, the $10 price tag is far more understandable here than $15 for the original on PSN.Ĩ0% PlayStation 2This game holds a special place in my heart because it got me through a bit of a tough couple days with family medical stuff. The PS2 release on the PSN does fine with upscaling. Having played it though, I now understand why - it was not needed. I wasn't sure why PaRappa the Rapper 2 didn't get the "remastered" treatment like PaRappa the Rapper did when releasing on PS4. Through in a variety of modes and I wouldn't be shocked if you could easily get double your time out of this sequel. Despite taking about the same time to beat, PaRappa the Rapper 2 feels like a much more substantial game experience with eight levels compared to the first games six. Perhaps the imagery and music from the first is more iconic and memorable - but the second is definitely the better and more refined experience.

It feels like this is what the original vision was supposed to be from the start, but perhaps the resources/technology weren't there with development of the first PaRappa the Rapper. 70% PlayStation 4I am happy to say that PaRappa the Rapper 2 improves on its predecessor in virtually every way - as it should have considering it was released a staggering five years after the first.
